If you had told me six years ago what my journey would be, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. I was an officer in the Air Force Reserve doing quite well. Sometimes I really miss the work I was doing there.
In 2006, my son was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. As the journey of having a special-needs child unfolded, I found my priorities needed to shift and I had a lot of learning to do. It was a lot like being fed from a fire hose.
Oh, don’t get me wrong. Being a Mom is a full-time job in itself. Helping your child with their homework, making sure they get nutritious meals and snacks, and taking care of all their other needs is very hard work. But throw a wrinkle in that and the job can be a lot more challenging depending on the situation.
I’m the mother to two awesome children — one a teenage girl (so that should tell you a lot) and a preteen son who challenges me everyday. The journey has been interesting. I’ve learned a lot — more than I ever imagined.
My interests are health, natural and biomedical healing and helping others. And so now that I’ve reached this point in my journey my wish is to help others to the extent that I can.
In addition to being a mother, I’ve been married for 20 years. I’m also a Young Living Essential Oils independent distributor. They have some really great products that I’ll be sharing with you from time to time.
Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy it.
